The NAIOP GTA Education Committee is pleased to present a new in-depth, full-day education event: Real Estate Acquisition, Ownership, and Financing: The Key Concepts and the Hot Topics, hosted in collaboration with Bennett Jones.
Led by instructors Craig Garbe, Partner, Bennett Jones and Mike O’Grady, Associate, Bennett Jones, this full-day in-class course is designed for introductory to intermediate-level commercial real estate professionals who want to develop their understanding of the fundamentals of (and key negotiation points for) real property sales, purchases, equity ownership structures, and debt financings. Join our expert faculty as they discuss the critical concepts and structures used throughout the market today, as well as expected trends for the future.
Participants will be invited to participate in discussions as well as group-based reviews of contract terms and/or case studies, and will leave better equipped to efficiently and effectively structure deals, evaluate risk, negotiate terms, and work with their counsel and consultants to close complex real property transactions. Ideal for analysts, developers, agents, owners, managers, and lenders alike.
Please note: This course is not part of the CREST program. Details and course dates for the 2026 CREST program can be found here, and will be announced at a later time.
Secure your spot early! Spots are limited to 25 participants to ensure an interactive learning environment.
Following the course, NAIOP invites participants to join us for casual drinks, a great opportunity to continue the conversation and connect with fellow attendees.
